Our firm is not for everyone.

We only handle criminal cases and proceedings related to criminal cases. Although we provide representation for
defendants in all types of criminal matters,
our major areas of practice include:

Alcohol-related offenses
Grand jury representation
State and federal "white collar" criminal cases

We provide representation in both state and federal criminal matters throughout the pre-indictment, trial, and
appellate stages. We also handle related actions arising out of criminal matters, such as proceedings initiated by the
New York State Liquor Authority, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, hearings before professional
licensing boards, and other administrative proceedings.

An essential part of our representation is the to respond quickly and accurately to our client's questions and concerns.
We believe that successful representation requires keeping the client fully involved in his or her case. At Taheri &
Todoro, the client is informed of all developments in his or her case. Unless specifically advised otherwise, we copy the
client on all legal memoranda, correspondence, and pleadings prepared by the firm or submitted to the court by the
prosecution.

We believe in a "team approach" to criminal defense. After meeting with a client, we assemble a defense team
consisting of lawyers, our paralegal staff, and, if necessary, other experts to explore the various aspects of the client's
case and determine how best to proceed with trial preparation. Our firm encourages the client to interact with the
"team" and actively assist in defining and achieving the goals at trial or during plea negotiations.

Because of the sensitive nature of many of the cases we have handled, we take great pride in resolving criminal matters
is a quiet and confidential manner. We realize that in many cases, the publicity surrounding a criminal investigation or
the filing of criminal charges can be as damaging to our clients' interests as a conviction. No decisions are made
without considering all aspects of the case, including the collateral consequences surrounding a criminal disposition
and the potential for publicity adverse to the client or the client's business.
